Nicklas Lidstrom retired today, ending an awesome career. I’m pretty bummed about this, but I’m glad I got to see him play. He’s one of those players that you will one day tell your grandkids about. World Championship gold medal winner. 4x Stanley Cup Champion 12x NHL All-Star 7x Norris Trophy Winner Conn Smythe Trophy winner Olympic gold medal winner Triple Gold Club member He probably would have been the rookie of the year when he started out if it weren’t for Pavel Bure being so insanely amazing.
